This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Analyst (Legal Analytics / Jurimetrics) based in Brazil.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a strategic role in transforming complex legal and financial data into actionable business insights. Specializing in Jurimetrics, you will apply advanced statistical methods, predictive modeling, and Data Science techniques to analyze litigation, legal contingencies, and banking contracts. You will work with large and diverse datasets to identify patterns, assess risks, forecast legal outcomes, and uncover opportunities for greater operational efficiency. Collaborating closely with Legal, Technology, and Business teams, you will translate complex requirements into scalable analytical solutions. You will also develop predictive models, performance indicators, and management dashboards to support data-driven legal strategies. Accountabilities:

• Develop statistical analyses and quantitative models for Jurimetrics, focusing on judicial proceedings, legal contingencies, and banking contracts.
• Collect, organize, clean, process, and analyze large volumes of legal, procedural, and contractual data.
• Build predictive models to estimate litigation outcomes, success probabilities, potential court awards, and financial exposure.
• Identify behavioral patterns and trends across courts, regions, judicial divisions, law firms, attorneys, legal topics, and types of claims.
• Design and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and management reports to monitor litigation portfolios and support strategic decision-making.
• Apply Machine Learning, statistical modeling, and exploratory data analysis techniques to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities.
• Collaborate with Legal, Technology, and Business teams, translating legal requirements into effective analytical solutions.
• Conduct performance and efficiency analyses of litigation portfolios to support the optimization of legal strategies.
• Ensure the quality, integrity, consistency, and governance of datasets used in analytical processes.
• Present findings, insights, and strategic recommendations to management and key stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Solid professional experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Specialized knowledge of Jurimetrics and legal data analysis.
• Strong command of applied statistics, inferential statistics, regression analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Practical experience using Python and/or R for statistical analysis and data manipulation.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning methodologies and predictive analytics techniques.
• Experience analyzing judicial proceedings, litigation data, and/or contractual information.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and the integration of information from multiple sources.

Nice to have:

• Previous experience in the banking or financial services industry.
• Experience working within the Legal departments of financial institutions.
• Familiarity with Legal Analytics, LegalTech, and legal intelligence solutions.
• Experience analyzing legal contingencies and litigation provisioning.
• Knowledge of judicial databases, court systems, and case-tracking platforms.
• Familiarity with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD), data governance, and data security practices.
