This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Compliance Associate based in Brazil.

Join a global digital asset and financial technology environment in a role focused on maintaining robust compliance operations across client onboarding, transaction monitoring, and due diligence. This is a remote, full-time opportunity for a detail-oriented compliance professional comfortable working in a fast-paced digital asset environment and aligned with EST business hours.

Accountabilities

    • Review and approve onboarding applications and account decisions for low- and medium-risk clients, escalating high-risk cases and determinations to the Chief Compliance Officer.

    • Oversee the client maintenance pipeline, ensuring periodic reviews, document updates, and re-screenings are completed on schedule and without backlogs.

    • Manage due diligence reviews for new and existing vendors, banking partners, and counterparties.

    • Prepare regular compliance reports for the CCO, covering outstanding items, account backlogs, pending reviews, and emerging risk areas.

    • Conduct first-level reviews of fiat transaction activity, identify and document potentially suspicious patterns, and escalate relevant cases.

    • Manage the end-to-end client onboarding workflow, coordinating with Business Development and Compliance teams to keep applications progressing efficiently.

    • Perform initial reviews of wallet whitelisting submissions in Reactor, escalate high-risk wallets, and maintain supporting documentation in ShareFile.

    • Conduct required checks for bank whitelisting and store relevant documentation and review outputs in the appropriate ShareFile folders.

    • Review and manage Know Your Transaction (KYT) alerts as part of the transaction monitoring process.

    • Handle alerts generated through ongoing client monitoring and ensure appropriate follow-up, documentation, and escalation.

    • Requirements:

      • At least 2 years of professional experience in compliance or a related field.

      • Previous experience in the cryptocurrency or digital asset industry.

      • Hands-on experience with KYC/KYB, AML, client due diligence, and ongoing monitoring processes.

      • Experience reviewing transaction monitoring or KYT alerts, identifying potentially suspicious activity, and escalating cases appropriately.

      • Familiarity with Chainalysis and its use in compliance reviews or investigations.

      • Experience with compliance case management, documentation, and escalation procedures.

      • Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.

      • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple compliance reviews and processes simultaneously.

      • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.

      • Availability to work Monday to Friday in alignment with EST business hours.

      • Candidates must reside in Latin America and submit their CV in English. Professional references may be requested during the final stages of the selection process.

      • Benefits:

        • Competitive compensation paid in USD.

        • 10 business days of paid time off per year.

        • US public holidays observed.
