Construction Project Scheduling Specialist – Airports & Infrastructure at Jobgether in US. Remote, full-time, paying $115k–$145k. Posted November 4, 2026.
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Construction Project Scheduling Specialist – Airports & Infrastructure based in the United States.
The Construction Project Scheduling Specialist will develop and analyze construction schedules for complex airport, energy, and infrastructure projects across the country. Combining practical construction knowledge with advanced scheduling expertise, you will translate design documents, field conditions, project requirements, and construction methodologies into realistic, actionable project plans. You will play a key role in determining how major projects are phased, sequenced, and delivered, helping clients anticipate risks and make informed decisions. Working directly with owners, contractors, engineers, and project teams, you will provide technical guidance and recommend solutions to challenging scheduling issues. This role offers the opportunity to become a trusted scheduling advisor while contributing to high-profile projects in a collaborative, technically focused environment.
Accountabilities:
-
Independently develop detailed construction schedules based on project scope, design documents, construction methods, site conditions, procurement requirements, production information, and client milestones.
-
Establish work breakdown structures (WBS), activities, durations, dependencies, sequencing logic, milestones, constraints, and scheduling assumptions.
-
Develop schedules covering planning, design, preconstruction, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, project turnover, and closeout.
-
Apply practical construction knowledge to evaluate constructability, site logistics, access, trade coordination, production rates, material availability, and procurement constraints.
-
Develop and assess alternative construction phasing and sequencing strategies as project requirements and field conditions evolve.
-
Incorporate quantities, costs, resources, production rates, and procurement information into scheduling deliverables.
-
Analyze critical paths, float, schedule variances, phasing conflicts, constraints, and potential delays.
-
Identify missing scope, logic deficiencies, unrealistic assumptions, sequencing conflicts, and other risks that could affect project delivery.
-
Develop schedule mitigation, recovery, and risk-management recommendations based on construction conditions and technical analysis.
-
Perform or support Time Impact Analysis, delay analysis, schedule risk assessments, and change-impact evaluations.
-
Review contractor and stakeholder schedules for completeness, logic, constructability, sequencing, and compliance with project requirements.
-
Integrate cost estimating, constructability, phasing, quantities, and resource information into scheduling recommendations.
-
Work directly with owners, designers, contractors, field personnel, and other stakeholders to develop and validate realistic project schedules.
-
Lead or participate in planning, phasing, sequencing, schedule development, review, and reconciliation meetings.
-
Present scheduling assumptions, risks, impacts, alternatives, and recommendations clearly to clients and project teams.
-
Participate in site visits to validate schedule assumptions, understand field conditions, and confirm construction progress.
-
Train and mentor developing schedulers by reviewing schedule logic, construction sequencing, and technical approaches.
-
Contribute to internal quality reviews, scheduling tools, templates, and best practices.
-
At least 5 years of progressive construction experience, including significant responsibility for scheduling, planning, sequencing, phasing, or schedule management on complex projects.
-
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant construction experience.
-
Demonstrated ability to independently create or substantially develop construction schedules, rather than solely maintaining or updating schedules prepared by others.
-
At least 2 years of meaningful on-site construction experience in complex building, infrastructure, heavy civil, transportation, utility, industrial, aviation, or comparable environments.
-
Professional experience using Oracle Primavera P6. Candidates without advanced P6 proficiency may be considered if they have substantial field-construction experience, significant scheduling responsibility, and the ability to quickly develop proficiency with technical scheduling tools.
-
Strong understanding of construction means and methods, constructability, trade coordination, logistics, procurement, sequencing, and phasing.
-
Experience developing WBS structures, activities, durations, relationships, baselines, phasing plans, scheduling assumptions, and related deliverables.
-
Ability to interpret architectural, civil, structural, and engineering drawings and specifications at different design stages and translate them into construction sequencing plans.
-
Experience developing schedules from preconstruction and early planning through construction and commissioning.
-
Experience with cost-loaded or resource-loaded schedules.
-
Experience conducting Time Impact Analysis, delay analysis, schedule recovery, schedule risk analysis, or contractor schedule reviews.
-
Strong analytical judgment, problem-solving abilities, and written and verbal communication skills.
-
Ability to communicate schedule findings, assumptions, risks, and recommendations directly to clients and project teams.
-
Willingness to travel approximately 10–25% for site visits, client meetings, conferences, and other business needs.
-
Previous scheduling experience in aviation or airport construction.
-
Familiarity with Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC).
-
Experience mentoring junior schedulers or construction professionals.
-
OSHA construction safety training.
-
Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, PSP, CCM, PE, or an equivalent credential.
-
Experience in one or more of the following sectors: aviation, commercial nuclear power, renewable energy, power distribution and transmission, heavy civil construction, data centers, government and military projects, utilities, transportation, roadways, bridges, or water and wastewater infrastructure.
-
Experience working on complex projects within active or operational facilities.
-
Annual salary range of $115,000–$145,000, depending on experience.
-
Additional bonus opportunities.
-
Hybrid work arrangements, with office locations in:
-
Hebron, Kentucky (Cincinnati area).
