Data Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Engineer II based in India.

Join a global data engineering team focused on making information more accessible and useful across the organization. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end data engineering development, building and automating pipelines that support reliable data integration and consumption. You will work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Using Oracle Data Integrator and related integration technologies, you will help shape data architecture, implementation standards, and engineering practices. You will also identify opportunities to improve processes and develop automation that addresses complex technical challenges. This remote opportunity offers the chance to contribute to the evolution of a modern data platform in a collaborative, data-driven environment.

Accountabilities

• Create, manage, and automate data pipelines using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), MuleSoft, Oracle GoldenGate, and related technologies.

• Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and data integration solutions.

• Define requirements for new implementations and contribute to solution designs, technical standards, and engineering practices.

• Take ownership of end-to-end development activities, ensuring solutions meet business and technical needs.

• Provide technical expertise and develop automation solutions for complex, interconnected data engineering challenges.

• Identify opportunities to improve existing processes, build support for proposed changes, and collaborate with teams to implement improvements.

• Support data ingestion, transformation, integration, and consumption across different types of information.

• Provide analytical and technical support to help stakeholders make effective use of organizational data.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.

• Expert-level SQL skills and intermediate proficiency in PL/SQL.

• Hands-on experience with data integration and ETL mapping, particularly using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

• Knowledge of databases, database internals, data modeling, and modern integration architectures.

• Experience designing and implementing solutions using scripting languages such as Python or Bash.

• Familiarity with data integration technologies such as MuleSoft and Oracle GoldenGate.

• Ability to understand business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address complex and interconnected challenges.

• Self-motivated, responsible, and comfortable taking ownership of technical deliverables.

• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
