This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced pharmaceutical or biotech professional to shape U.S. pricing, contracting, and policy strategies across both commercialized and pipeline products. You will play a key role in navigating an evolving healthcare policy landscape while supporting sustainable pricing, market access, and financial performance. By combining policy expertise, market intelligence, and advanced financial analysis, you will help anticipate regulatory changes and translate complex developments into actionable business strategies. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will influence critical pricing decisions and governance processes. This role offers significant exposure to high-level strategic planning and the opportunity to contribute to the successful launch and long-term competitiveness of innovative medicines. Join a collaborative, fast-paced environment where analytical excellence, strategic thinking, and patient access are central to business decisions.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the assessment of U.S. legislative and regulatory developments, including the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), Most Favored Nation (MFN) policies, Average Sales Price (ASP) reforms, Medicaid Best Price, and Average Manufacturer Price (AMP) changes, identifying potential business impacts and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Drive strategic scenario planning, forecasting, and financial modeling to evaluate the implications of policy changes, market dynamics, and contracting approaches on pricing, reimbursement, and patient access.
  • Oversee pricing governance processes, including business case development, financial assessments, and executive-level presentations to support list price and contract approval decisions.
  • Collaborate with Government Pricing and Compliance teams to ensure pricing strategies and contractual arrangements comply with applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Provide strategic pricing and policy insights to senior leadership, helping shape corporate positioning and inform decisions in response to evolving U.S. healthcare regulations.
  • Monitor ASP trends, reimbursement benchmarks, competitive developments, and customer feedback to identify pricing risks and support effective net price realization.
  • Develop channel-specific strategies to address policy changes, including IRA provisions, Medicaid Best Price requirements, and ASP-based reimbursement adjustments.
  • Support cross-functional launch readiness for pipeline products, ensuring pricing, reimbursement, and policy considerations are integrated into product development and commercialization strategies.
  • Partner with Market Access, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Government Pricing, and Compliance stakeholders to align priorities and ensure effective execution of pricing and contracting strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, strengthen operational efficiency, and enhance pricing governance practices.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Biological Sciences, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry, with a strong focus on pricing, reimbursement, market access, or healthcare policy strategy.
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. healthcare policy and regulatory frameworks, including the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), MFN policies, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, ASP-based models, and government pricing regulations.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical pricing and contracting dynamics, provider economics, reimbursement models, and market access strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing pricing and contracting strategies for both commercialized products and pipeline assets.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning capabilities, with the ability to translate complex policy and market developments into practical business recommendations.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within large, cross-functional, matrixed organizations and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical, financial, and policy matters to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles and foster productive collaboration.
  • Flexible, diplomatic, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a rapidly changing regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements, manage competing priorities, and contribute to both strategic initiatives and special projects.
  • Willingness to travel domestically approximately 15–25% of the time.
  • Benefits:

  • Competitive annual base salary: $184,100–$244,100, depending on qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, and work location.
  • Performance-based compensation: Eligibility for an annual bonus plan or commercial incentive compensation plan, depending on the position's classification.
  • Equity opportunities: Eligibility for discretionary equity awards and voluntary participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Retirement benefits: 401(k) plan.
  • Financial wellness: Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA).
  • Insurance protection: Life insurance coverage.
  • Work-life balance: Paid time off and wellness programs.
  • Remote working arrangement: U.S.-based remote position.
  • Professional development: Opportunity to contribute to high-impact strategic initiatives and collaborate with experienced professionals across multiple business functions.
