Finance Director at Jobgether in Brazil. Remote, full-time. Posted November 3, 2026.
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Finance Director based in Brazil .
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to build and scale a modern, technology-enabled finance and accounting practice serving multiple clients. You will initially take direct ownership of bookkeeping, accounting, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A), while helping design the processes and controls needed for sustainable growth. Working alongside an operations engineer, you will introduce automation and AI-powered workflows to streamline routine finance activities without compromising accuracy or auditability. You will turn financial and operational data into forecasts, KPI dashboards, and actionable management insights. As the practice expands, you will guide junior accounting staff and AI agents, shifting more of your focus toward review, planning, and client decision support. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to shape a growing finance function and influence its technology, operating model, and future direction.
Accountabilities
-
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities across multiple clients, including reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and month-end close.

-
Establish structured accounts payable and receivable processes, including clear ownership, approval steps, payment calendars, and escalation procedures.

Design a scalable operating model that can support an initial client portfolio and expand to approximately three or four clients.
-
Participate in client calls, explain financial results, and provide clear insights to support business decisions.
-
Take on increasing responsibility for client relationships as the finance practice grows and client trust develops.
-
Contribute to the development of the finance practice's tools, processes, team structure, and service delivery model.
-
Experience managing an accounting department, finance team, or broader finance function, combined with the ability to perform hands-on accounting work.

Significant practical experience using QuickBooks.
-
Familiarity with accounting fundamentals, including reconciliations, month-end close, financial controls, and review procedures.

-
Experience designing finance processes and building structured workflows, including in environments where systems and procedures are still being developed.
-
Demonstrated initiative in using an AI coding or cowork tool, such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cowork, to build a personal tool, workflow, or prototype. Advanced AI expertise is not required; curiosity and willingness to experiment are valued.
-
Ability to work effectively with incomplete information, establish practical processes, and adapt them to different client needs.
-
Strong written English and conversational spoken English, with the ability to participate confidently in Zoom meetings and client calls.
-
Nice to have: Experience with NetSuite or Sage in addition to QuickBooks.
-
Applicants must reside in Latin America and be available to work full-time in alignment with PST/CST working hours.
