This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Systems Manager based in Brazil.

We are seeking a technically strong and forward-thinking Systems Manager to lead software engineering teams and drive the evolution of digital products and platforms. In this role, you will combine strategic leadership with hands-on architectural guidance, helping shape engineering standards and development practices. You will oversee senior squads working on multidisciplinary projects while guiding the modernization of systems, including the transition from monolithic architectures to microservices. You will also champion quality, scalability, security, data-driven decision-making, and observability across web and mobile solutions. By integrating automation and generative AI into development workflows, you will help improve engineering efficiency and product delivery. Accountabilities:

• Define, establish, and promote best practices for software development and product engineering.

• Lead senior engineering squads responsible for delivering multidisciplinary software projects.

• Participate in software architecture decisions and guide system evolution, including the transition from monolithic structures to microservices.

• Ensure the governance, quality, scalability, and security of web and mobile solutions.

• Strengthen data-driven engineering practices and observability by monitoring system health, anticipating failures, and improving user experience.

• Drive operational efficiency through process automation and the adoption of artificial intelligence tools in software development.

• Develop and support engineering team members through regular one-to-one meetings, technical mentoring, and individual development plans.

• Partner with business stakeholders to translate organizational needs into technical solutions.

• Align technical priorities, delivery timelines, and expectations across engineering and business teams.

• Manage technical decisions, team priorities, and collaboration to support reliable and sustainable product development.

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams responsible for web and mobile systems.

• Strong software development background, preferably with Laravel, Vue, and React Native.

• In-depth knowledge of software architecture, including strategies for evolving monolithic systems into microservices.

• Experience with cloud computing and AWS infrastructure.

• Ability to make technical and strategic decisions, manage conflicts, and establish priorities.

• Strong emotional intelligence and demonstrated ability to develop people and lead senior engineering teams.

• Experience applying generative AI throughout the software development lifecycle, including tools such as Claude Code for code generation, refactoring, and test creation.

• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business functions.

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog and Sentry.

• Familiarity with process automation and workflow development using n8n.

• Knowledge of data analysis and dashboard development with Metabase.
