Lead CDL Driver - 2nd Shift 6PM to 2AM

We are looking to hire a Lead Class A Driver for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Gardena CA. A Lead has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal Plant Operator Lead is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.

What will your job involve?

• Supervises transport team and ensures all deliveries are made in a timely manner
• Enforces a high standard of customer service and outstanding attention to detail with all deliveries
• Manages training and assists employees and new hires
• Safely collects, delivers and stores our medical waste containers
• Provides strong customer service and patience as it relates to our customers
• Operates vehicles in a safe manner (straight trucks and tractor trailers as large as 26 and 53 feet long)
• Performs on time delivery practices and clearly communicates changes or challenges as they arise
• Loading and unloading | Prioritizes and organizes your truck per schedule and business needs
• Manages a route per business needs | delivers timely, efficient, and effective service
• Complies with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections

What are we looking for?

• 1 + years of previous lead experience is NEEDED
• Class A license with a clean driving record and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD
• Minimum 3 years experience operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53f
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Proven longevity in past employment
• TOUCH FREIGHT EXPERIENCE!!
