    • Conduct on-site commissioning activities, complete inspection and commissioning documentation, and identify, track, and report system deficiencies.

    • Attend, coordinate, and chair commissioning meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and ensure effective communication between project stakeholders.

    • Represent the commissioning team at site meetings, communicate project progress, identify outstanding contractor deliverables, and address technical questions from contractors, clients, and owner representatives.

    • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to maintain quality standards, meet deadlines, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and project requirements.

    • Travel regularly to project sites throughout Alberta to perform commissioning services.

    • Requirements:

      • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering, technologist, or technician diploma or degree in a related discipline.

      • At least 5 years of relevant experience in MEP construction, commissioning, and/or project management.

      • Familiarity with commissioning processes and an understanding of thermal environments in mission-critical facilities, including hospitals, data centers, and Class 2/3 biological containment laboratories.

      • Strong knowledge of psychrometrics, heat transfer principles, and applicable building, mechanical, plumbing, fuel gas, fire protection, and energy codes.

      • Practical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical equipment, including CRACs, CRAHs, AHUs, RTUs, VRF systems, evaporators, heat pumps, boilers, chillers, adiabatic coolers, pumps, sensors, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and flowmeters.

      • Understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Methods of Procedure (MOPs), Sequences of Operation (SOOs), trend analysis, and Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB).

      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Project.

      • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, combined with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, collaborate effectively, and handle sensitive situations professionally.

      • Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and collaboratively, and consistently meet tight deadlines.

      • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with flexibility to undertake frequent travel throughout Alberta.

      • Benefits:

        • Competitive annual salary: CAD $95,000–$110,000.
