Senior Technical Consultant, Security

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Technical Consultant, Security based in India.

In this senior, customer-facing role, you will lead the technical delivery of privileged access management (PAM) implementations using a cloud-based security platform. You will guide projects from initial discovery and solution design through configuration, integration, testing, and operational handoff. Working closely with customer security, identity, and infrastructure teams, you will help protect privileged credentials, strengthen access controls, and improve security operations. You will take ownership of complex technical workstreams, troubleshoot enterprise integrations, and ensure solutions meet customer requirements and security standards. You will also act as a trusted technical advisor, mentor fellow consultants, and contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery practices within a distributed, collaborative team.

Accountabilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions and translate customer requirements into practical solution designs, deployment plans, and delivery estimates.

• Own technical workstreams throughout implementation, integration, testing, issue resolution, documentation, and operational handoff.

• Design and configure core Privilege Cloud capabilities, including safes, accounts, platforms, access controls, password rotation and reconciliation policies, and privileged-session workflows.

• Lead the deployment and troubleshooting of platform connectors and related components, including CPM, PSM, and SSH-based access.

• Plan and oversee the onboarding of privileged accounts across Windows, Linux/Unix, directory services, databases, network devices, and business applications.

• Manage integrations with customer identity providers and directory services, including authentication, user and group mapping, and access-model troubleshooting.

• Diagnose complex issues across the privileged access platform and customer infrastructure, coordinating with customer and vendor teams to drive timely resolution.

• Review technical designs and implementation deliverables to ensure security, operational reliability, and alignment with customer requirements and established practices.

• Serve as a trusted technical contact for customer stakeholders, clearly communicating risks, assumptions, dependencies, recommendations, and implementation options.

• Coach and support other consultants through design reviews, troubleshooting guidance, knowledge sharing, and technical mentoring.

• Contribute technical expertise to project scoping, solution proposals, project plans, architecture discussions, and internal knowledge resources.

• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and delivery colleagues across regions, supporting customer delivery requirements, including reasonable time-zone overlap and project travel when necessary.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in technical consulting, systems engineering, cybersecurity, identity management, or privileged access management, including substantial customer-facing delivery.

• At least 3 years of hands-on implementation or administration experience with Idira/CyberArk Privilege Cloud or CyberArk PAM.

• Demonstrated experience owning PAM implementation workstreams, including privileged account onboarding, access policies, credential rotation and reconciliation, and/or session management.

• Ability to lead technical discovery, make sound implementation decisions, explain technical trade-offs, and manage delivery dependencies with limited supervision.

• Strong working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux/Unix administration, networking fundamentals, DNS, firewalls, certificates, and secure connectivity.

• Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise integrations and producing clear technical designs, runbooks, test plans, and operational handoff documentation.

• Strong customer communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proven ability to mentor colleagues, lead technical reviews, and collaborate effectively with geographically distributed delivery teams.

• At least one current, relevant Idira/CyberArk Privilege Cloud credential or delivery certification is required. Preferred certifications include:

  • CDE-CPC – CyberArk Certified Delivery Engineer, Privilege Cloud.

  • CPC-SEN – Sentry – Privilege Cloud.

  • Another current, vendor-recognized CPC or CDE credential relevant to Privilege Cloud or PAM.

  • Candidates holding a related CyberArk PAM CDE credential may also be considered if they can demonstrate senior-level Privilege Cloud delivery experience.

  • Additional experience with Active Directory, LDAP, advanced Windows and Linux/Unix troubleshooting, scripting, service management, and database administration is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with PowerShell, Python, Bash, REST APIs, SIEM integrations, audit requirements, secrets management, enterprise security controls, cloud and hybrid environments, virtualization, and network security appliances is beneficial.

  • Experience contributing to solution scoping, effort estimates, architecture diagrams, and customer-facing proposals is also desirable.
